What topics would inspire, encourage, and support you?
I am working out a proposal for professional development programs we could offer at UT Arlington through the art department to art educators in the region. This is my list of possible topics:
Therapeutic Approaches for K-12 classrooms (SEL theme)
Studio areas (led by our studio faculty)
Teaching for Artistic Behavior (intro or advanced)
Support for new teachers: Classroom management, materials management, scaffolding art skills.
Constructing an Anti-Racist Curriculum
Art History / Contemporary Art themes, new artists for your curriculum
